The average of beneficiaries of the Samiti’s projects during last 3 years has been about 50,000. The Samiti plans to initiate the following projects in the near future:
An Integrated Child and Women Development Project in village Galand in District Ghaziabad (U.P.) on the Delhi-Harpur Road. Suitable land for the project was acquired 3 years back. A suitable infrastructure in terms of classrooms, a hall, an open air stage, etc., has already been constructed at the site.
A Holiday Home Project in Shimla, with facilities for camping and functional literacy of the local residents. A suitable land for the project has already been acquired for the project, twenty km. to the east of the main city of Shimla. Proposals for setting up Holiday Huts by educational institutions are welcome. One Hut with a kitchen will cost about Rs. 2 lacs.
Young Artists’ Gallery at a central place in Delhi: The Samiti’s Nehru Centre of Art & Culture already has made a beginning with an Art Gallery at its premises in South Extension Part II and also at the BalVikasVidyalaya, Block 8, Trilokpuri in East Delhi.
A Socio-Economic Project for providing training-cum-production facilities: A ‘Masala’ production unit has been set up, at the BalVikasVidyalaya,Trilokpuri in East Delhi. Necessary machinery has alredy been purchased. An East Delhi J.J Colony Women’s Cooperative Industrial (Production) Society Ltd. has also been registered. The project shall be initiated soon.
The Samiti is Registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. Donations to the Samiti are exempt from Tax under Section 80-G of the Income Tax Act.
The Samiti is also Registered under the Foreign Contributions Registration Act.
Valued cooperation of the individuals, the Charitable Trusts and the Corporate Sector, is solicited to enable the Samiti to serve more needy persons with timely help.
